Its Thursday and wow do I have alot to tell you all!!

You sooooo need to go over to InStyle Stamps website and blog.

Go to the website and check out the New stamps -Yes NEW -there is new stamps for Retro and Anime. How awesome is that!! AND there is a new category too -Whimsical!! There is a very cute stamp there now. Just released YESTERDAY!! Yay!! Also check out the digi downloads -In Holiday -EASTER images! Woohoo!!! They are super cute. What is awesome about digi downloads -Instant gratification AND you can resize the images to YOUR needs!
When you are checking out the stamps and digi images -head over to some supplies -like Copics and the glitter pens too. The glitter pens can really make an image POP! They are great.

Now on the blog -there is sneak peaks for the new images -get some project ideas. The New Design Team has been announced. Today is Thankful Thursday on the blog - The prize for this one is GUEST DESIGNER for April AND May! Woohoo!!!!!

I did this page tutorial for Method Monday on InStyle Stamps blog. Posting it 2 days late here on my blog. Life has been pretty exciting the last few days *sigh* Anyways. Here is my finished page. You can go to ISS blog and read the tutorial on how I made it.

InStyle Stamps -Design Team Call

*This is going to stay up top til the call is over*

InStyle Stamps is launching a new anime line of stamps to add to our current lines. We are having 3 design team calls, Anime, Retro and Digi.

There are 2 stages to our application process.

Stage One - We ask you to submit 4 of your very best projects. At least two of those projects must be non-card related. These projects must include line art stamped images that you have hand colored. Coloring technique is very important since all of our stamps require coloring. You will also need the following information along with your submission:
1. Name
2. Mailing Address (we need it to send your stage two image immediately)
3. Phone number
4. Email Address
5. A List of your present/past design team positions. Note: You will be considered even if you do not have design team experience.
6. A link to your gallery on SCS, PCP and blog
7. Tell us which team you would like to apply for: Anime, Retro, Digi. If you are applying for more then one, please list teams in order of preference.
8. A brief about me summary to include; interests, crafting history, etc. Whatever you would like us to know about you and your experience.
All stage one submissions should be received by us no later than February 16th, 2009 by 11:59 pm P.S.T. Please email your Stage One applications to:

Once we’ve received all of your submissions we will narrow the selections for the final round.

Stage Two - We will snail mail a stamped image and sketch for you to follow to create your final project. Once completed, you will take a photo of the project, and upload it to your blog or gallery using “ISS DT APPLICATION” as the subject or tag. You will need to notify us at:
InStyleStampsDT@aol.com
once you have uploaded your final project.
We will notify you of the deadline for stage two final project submissions via mail with your stamped image if chosen. International applicants are accepted (special rules apply please ask before submitting).

We have 9 design positions to fill. We are looking for:
Great coloring techniques
Good photography skills
Attention to color matching
Thinking outside the box
And regular posting on your blog/website

We are interested in fresh, funky and fun designs and projects. If you fit that mold, please apply for one of our team positions.

Know what day it is??

Its Thankful Thursday at InStyle Stamps blog. This week, design team member Sandy has the sketch/project. Check out the blog and play along. There is a prize involved too -you can get a copic marker AND a digi image. How cool is that!!

Muffin Basket Card

How I did the basket -

Printed the image on Georgia Pacific cardstock.

Colored the basket with copic markers - E33 and E37

Printed the basket again (make sure the image is on the front of the pattern paper.....so it lines up to go over the image) on Yellow gigham paper. I cut out just the cloth that is over the side of the basket. I painted the flowers w/blue Making Memories acrylic paint.

I printed the image again on Stampin Up cardstock -blue (don't know the color name) and Barely Banana.

I cut out just the muffin tops on the Barely Banana and just the muffin bottons(paper) on the blue. I did paper piecing with those over the image.

I used Copic marker -B02 to highlight around the whole image. Then I cut it out and put on card made w/Stampin Up Barely Banana.
